Kylian Martin
NEW AT TYGER
We’re so excited to welcome the work of Kylian Martin to Tyger.
Kylian grew up on a farm here in Yass. Now based in the Northern Rivers, her art remains deeply connected to place, the land and the way we experience it.
Working with charcoal, ink, oil sticks, acrylic, handmade botanical brushes and earth pigments gathered from the land, Kylian creates instinctive works full of movement, texture and beautifully distinctive mark making.
There’s something particularly lovely for us about bringing Kylian’s work back to Yass. We have seven works from her currently on display in the gallery – including a small work made with earth pigments from soil, bone and ash and titled After the Fire of ’79, Yass NSW.

Life drawing
is back at Tyger
Join us at Tyger for a relaxed series of Sunday afternoon life drawing sessions, led by artist Sara Phemister and featuring experienced life model Tori Addams.
These are gently guided creative sessions rather than formal classes. There’s no pressure and no experience needed – just two hours of drawing, looking and making art in good company.
We’ll provide paper, pencils and clipboards, with a refreshment break midway. Come for one session, or book all three and make a little Sunday ritual of it.
The Drawing Room runs 12 July, 2 August and 6 September, 2–4pm.
