Alan is a Yass-based painter whose stunning still life, landscape and abstract paintings are much-loved by gallery visitors. His show at Tyger, On Table and Street, showed his incredible skill at capturing scenes from everyday life through soft colours, light and shadow, and engaging detail.

We absolutely LOVE his work.

Alan's work in Life in Colour is Silver Birches in Autumn, a 50x50cm oil on canvas beauty.

"This group of silver birches is up the back of our garden," says Alan.

"In autumn we get a cloud of golden leaves and in late afternoon sun they're glorious. Bulbs pop up in our garden bed too, but in a different season. I've painted with brushes and knife to create the cloudy bright mass of leaves."

Register for the opening celebration of Life in Colour on Saturday 16 November here.
