“I hope the viewer finds magic in my work as I try to bring the magic of the place to the painting.” Linzie Joanne Nardi

The brilliant Linzie Joanne Nardi will be one of the incredible artists in Tyger’s upcoming group show, Living in Another World.

Tyger is thrilled to welcome the outstanding artist Linzie Joanne Nardi to the gallery for our upcoming abstract landscapes show, Living in Another World.

The show brings together around 40 artists from all over the country to show us the world we know and love through an abstracted lens.

Register now for our opening celebrations of Living in Another World - Saturday 20 April, 2-4pm.

Ahead of the show, Linzie told us about using painting as meditation and finding the magic and feeling of a place.

How would you describe your work?

“My work is influenced by the impressionist movement. It's painterly, expressive and colourful.”

Tell us about where and how you create your work?

“My work is often inspired by photographs I take of places, most often the natural world. I'm then led by my intuition in my choice of colour and composition.”

What inspires you?

“Painting is my meditation. I'm inspired by my daily life, my interactions with people and places.”

What do you hope people feel when they see your work?

“I hope my viewer finds magic in my work as I try to bring the magic of the place to the painting. Rather than depicting the place accurately via colour, form and tone. I often try to bring the magic and feeling of the place via colour and brush work.”

Living in Another World runs from 19-28 April at Tyger Gallery in Yass. The online catalogue for the show will go out to subscribers in the week before opening. Sign up here to make sure you don’t miss out.
