Linzie's gorgeous, energetic work uses colour, form and texture to show the beauty of nature. A graduate of ANU School of Art and London's Slade School of Fine Art, Linzie has twice been a finalist in the Blake Prize and a finalist in the Albany Art Prize.
We absolutely LOVE her work, so we're delighted to welcome her for Life in Colour.
Ahead of the show opening, Linzie told us about creating her scenes of nature in nature, painting in one sitting, and how she hopes people feel when they see her work.
Where do you create your work?
"I create my work in my garden on the grass or on the easel in the studio. I love painting en plein air."
How do you create your work?
"Alla prima, often in one sitting using quick brush work."
'If I think too much about the work whilst painting it doesn't have a positive outcome. I think a lot about the work prior to beginning when I'm not in the studio, thinking about composition, colour overall desired effect."
What inspires you?
"Nature, people, everything."
How do you hope people feel when they see your work?
"Hopefully intrigued, happy, thought provoked."
