Artist Sally Rasmussen’s work installed at Tyger and ready for the show opening to the public on Friday 17 November.

Tyger’s incredible new show, Make, opens to the public Friday 17 November at 10am, with it’s official opening celebrations happening on Saturday 18 November, 2-4pm.

Please register here for the opening celebrations to let us know that you’ll be coming along.

Make’s 50 new works by the brilliant artists Sara Phemister, Stephanie Corkhill Hyles, Ning Clark, Nicole Cosgrove, Sally Rasmussen and Kasey Robinson will be available to buy instore and online from Friday morning.

But be quick - online sales to Tyger subscribers have been brisk! Make sure you don’t miss out on your favourite.

We are delighted to announce that Make will be officially opened by Harvey Walsh. Harvey and Penny Carlisle’s pioneering work in creating the brilliant Yazzbar created a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike, and changed expectations about what people wanted to find on Yass’ main street.

Tyger is deeply grateful for the work that he did in building and enhancing the Yass community, and we are delighted to have the chance to thank him at the opening of Make.

Ahead of the show opening, Head Tyger Martyn Pearce spoke to Saskia Mabin on ABC Canberra Afternoons.

Martyn talked about how Tyger came about, an incredible year of 11 shows and 20 events, and how the group of artists involved in Make helped to inspire the creation of the gallery.

We can’t wait to share the outstanding work in Make with you. See you this weekend!
