Poetry, art, tasty treats, and great friends

Artist Lindi Forde and poet David Bryson talk to a seated crowd of 20 people at Tyger Gallery.

Artist Lindi Forde and poet David Bryson shared stories, thoughts and insights with a big crowd at Tyger Gallery on Sunday.

We were thrilled to welcome the brilliant poet David Bryson and amazing artist Lindi Forde to Tyger on Sunday for our ‘Poetry, muffins and mimosas’ event.

More than 20 people turned up for a beautiful Sunday morning of engaging poetry, artistic thoughts, tasty treats and refreshing drinks.

David and Lindi shared the stories behind their poetry and artworks in their collaborative book, Aperture, answered audience questions, and signed copies of their book.

David talked about the inspirations and stories behind the poems in the book, the craft and skills involved in creating poetry, and delightfully read some of his work to the captivated crowd.

Lindi discussed how she goes about creating her abstract art, and what she looks for to appreciate abstract art. She highlighted Skye Rollo’s outstanding Semaphore X as an example of a work that immediately grabs your attention then reveals many layers of beauty over time.

We are so grateful to David and Lindi for sharing their talents with us, and to everyone who turned up to enjoy a beautiful Sunday morning at Tyger.

We are thrilled to have taken delivery of two new works by Lindi, as well as a collection of stunning photographic prints. Keep an eye on the Tyger website - they’ll be available soon.
