Josie Cosgrove is a Canberra born and based multimedia artist with a passion for science and nature.
After completing her Bachelor of Photography in 2012, Josie went on to study a Bachelor of Science at the University of Canberra, with a special interest in microbiology.
Josie’s work aims to connect the divide between art and science and explore the beauty of the natural world; she is often inspired by cellular patterns and textures in nature when creating her art.

After joining the arts group Networks Australia, Josie now participates in regular group exhibitions, primarily showing her textile and photographic works. Some of her recent group shows with Networks Australia include; Tree Whispers at Belconnen Art Centre and Portals and Passages at Grenfell Gallery in 2022 and most recently the Networks Australia: Artists at Work exhibition at ANCA Gallery in September 2023.
Josie is a recipient of multiple photography awards, including finalist images in the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) Awards and the International Loupe Awards.
