Bird Song in Blue | Georgina Downs

Georgina is a collage artist working from her studio in Collingwood, Melbourne.

She has taught music in early childhood for over 25 years and draws inspiration from music. Her use of bright colour and simple shapes reflect her experience with children. Georgina is intrigued by the breaking down of complex musical ideas to a simpler form for children, and that it does not diminish their beauty, rather it strips it back to pure joy.

Georgina continues this same practice in her art.
