Beverly Moxon comes from a family of makers. Whilst her mother and grandmother were dressmakers, Beverly's needlework skills are used to express what she sees in the natural world.
Beverly’s childhood was spent playing in the pine woods and creeks surrounding her home in North Carolina, where she established a lifelong connection to nature.
Beverly draws inspiration from the diversity of Australia’s landscapes. Working from her home studio, Beverly produces unique works from locally gathered materials. Native grasses, pine needles, and found objects feature in many of her works.
She employs techniques such as weaving , coiling and eco dyeing to transfer the colours and marks of the terrain into her work.
After completing a Master of Visual Arts degree in 2010. Beverly joined a group of Canberra based artists, Networks Australia and as a member of the group frequently exhibits her work nationally and internationally.
