Claire is a semi abstract artist from Melbourne artist.
Her contemporary, fresh style is characterised by vibrant colours, intricate layers and rich textures.
Self-taught from an early age, her architecture background influences her work in the simplification of ideas down to the simplest of forms and expression.
Claire’s favourite subjects are landscapes and still life. As an intuitive painter, emotions are the starting point for Claire’s art. Colours, layers and mark making are the tools she uses to explore these everyday experiences.
Her whimsical works often grapple with the tension between simplicity and abundance.
Influenced by the beauty of the natural and built environment, Claire's works are created in her back garden studio amid native bird calls with much loved pets close by.
Claire seeks to inspire the viewer and raise emotions. Claire’s pieces express a deep sense of joy and presence, capturing the essence of life in the moment.

"The third piece in this series is a fun and lively look at all the things that can be.”
“As a metaphor for life, Hundreds and Thousands, is a statement of all that could be, through movement, colour, and energy. Each branch and leaf representing a different part of you which can be expressed and enjoyed.”
“Again, with the vision of gazing through the trees at sunset, this piece also has a meditative and reflective side, to inspire, uplift and bring you to your happy place."
