This smaller version is based on a famous tribute dinner party to honour the painter Henry Russeau that was staged in the notorious Bateau-Lavior studios in Montmarte in late 1908. Besides depicting a vision of the event, it is a nod to the final/final end of the Belle-Epoch era and the dawning of Modern Art and modern society."
