We are are so excited to welcome back Helen Cattell of Good Hope Pottery for our upcoming group show, Life in Colour.

The show brings together more than 30 incredible artists from all over the country for a joyous celebration of vibrant colour.

Helen's beautiful mindfully-made pottery is produced at their property at Good Hope. She creates works about the natural environment to forge a deeper connection to the beauty that surrounds her.

We are huge fans of the work of Helen and her daughter Danielle at Good Hope Pottery.

Ahead of the show opening, Helen told us about how she creates her work, what inspires it, and how she hopes it makes people feel.

Where do you create your work?

"I create my work at Good Hope on the shores of Lake Burrinjuck surrounded by the bush and the wildlife."

How do you create your work?

"My work is created through a process of coil pottery, each piece is layered with coils of clay to form a feminine vase shape."

What inspires you?

"I am inspired by the natural environment and my perception of the details I encounter in daily living."

What do you hope people feel when they see your work?

"I hope people will feel a sense of beauty in the style and the glazes of each piece."
