Unleash Your Child's Creativity at Tyger Gallery's Zine Workshop!
At Tyger Gallery, we believe in nurturing creativity in artists of all ages. We're excited to announce our upcoming workshop designed especially for young creators:
Tiny Pages, Big Ideas: A Creative Zine Workshop for Kids
Date: Saturday, 5 April
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Location: Tyger Gallery, 84 Comur St, Yass NSW 2582
What is a Zine?
Zines are self-made mini-magazines that allow individuals to express their thoughts, stories, and creativity without any rules or limitations. They're a fantastic medium for kids to explore their imagination and share their unique perspectives.
Workshop Highlights:
Hands-On Creation: Kids will design and craft their own unique zines from scratch.
Artistic Exploration: Through cutting, pasting, drawing, and collaging, participants will bring their ideas to life.
Personal Expression: Kids can create a little book about their favorite things, stories, or any topic they're passionate about.
All Materials Provided!
We supply all necessary materials. However, kids are encouraged to bring personal items like stickers, photos, or magazine cutouts to add a unique touch to their zines.
Meet the Instructor: Sara Phemister
Yass-based artist Sara Phemister will lead the workshop. With over 28 years of experience, Sara has exhibited extensively across Canberra, the Southern Tablelands, and the South Coast. Her recent show at Tyger Gallery, At Home With, was a huge hit with visitors. Sara's passion for art and teaching makes her the perfect guide for this creative journey.
