Felicite Briggs completed her tertiary education in fine arts in Sydney, majoring in drawing, printmaking and painting.
Living and working in inner-city, Sydney for most of her life, she recently swapped that hectic lifestyle for a much quieter existence, in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.
Her days are now divided between her studio, where time has allowed her to rekindle her artistic practice after a long hiatus, and her large garden which provides endless artistic inspiration for her work.
Currently Felicite’s preferred medium is coloured pencils. She loves their portability, vibrant colour range, and the level of detail she can achieve with them in her drawing practice. She also works in watercolours and printmaking.

“It was at the end of Winter in 2023, when I found this beautiful bunch of gerberas at the markets in Canberra.”
“The bright multicoloured flowers shone out on a bleak, grey day to remind me that Spring was close.”
“I drew the flowers as they sat in their vase.”
“In the full sun the deep shadows and light reflections would convey a feeling of warmth and the promise of the season to come."
Felicite Briggs, 2024.
