Abelia is a stunning new vase by Helen Cattell at Good Hope Pottery and part of her Of the Earth Collection. It is stoneware clay and 26x20cm.

“Abelia means to breathe,” Helen says.

“She has gently rounded curves narrowing to a small base. She has a layering of wild clay and wood ash over natural oxide glazes. These glaze combinations have created a reaction between the minerals to offer a landscape of warm earthy tones.”
