  • Kelly Green is an abstracted landscape, representing a type of dense, lush bush setting, inspired by the notorious Kelly Gang, who knew the bush well enough to seek it's camouflage and and refuge to escape to and throw-off any would be trackers seeking them out for retributions.”

“The surface is comprised of multiple and intimate views of country to reflect the experience of being within the bush, rather than gazing at it.”

“The title also plays with the notion of ascribing colours with general characteristic tags to reflect a distinction. Here the tradition of blending a nationality with a colour type is suggested ie. Irish / emerald / green / Kelly – Kelly Green.”
