A field can be both wild and tame | Lani Shea-An

A$380.00

22 x 30 cm | Oil, acrylic, mixed media collage on found wood | Unframed.

This piece is part of Tyger's opening exhibition, Bryter. Lani says: "In this work, and in most of my work lately, I think a lot about human perceptions of landscapes and the names and qualities we attribute to certain spaces. In translating the idea of a landscape to a two-dimensional surface, I keep coming back to the idea of a field; colour field painting, a soccer field, a meadow-like field. What is the significance of a field?"
