Natalie is a Canberra-based artist who creates stunning energetic and expressive mixed media works.

We love her work, and are so delighted to welcome her back for Life in Colour.

Ahead of the show opening, Natalie told us about finding happiness in possibility, and being inspired by the natural world.

Where do you create your work?

"I have a studio in my home, it's a favourite room, makes me happy just walking in and seeing all my supplies and thinking about the possiblities."

How do you create your work?

"Intuitively, based on colours and materials that speak to me in the moment."

What's the story of the works in Life in Colour?

"I love colour, it plays a large part in my life, it's one of things that brings joy and a smile, I also love flowers - their colours and their sometimes wild nature. I enjoy capturing both. The second work is my journey through life with colour being a major component, as it flows around me and those I interact with."

What inspires you?

"Colour and the natural world, be that the landscape or a simple flower."

What do you hope people feel when they see your work?

"Joy, and that they get a sense of the energy that went into creating the piece."

Register for the opening celebration of Life in Colour on Saturday 16 November here.
