Jaqueline was born in South Africa and trained and studied Fine Art. She travelled to Europe to work as an artist, muralist, and art teacher at a private school in London.

Jaqueline now resides in the northern suburbs of Wollongong, on the east coast of Australia, and works full-time from her home studio.

As a finalist in the Lethbridge 20000 in 2023, the Arts In The Valley in 2022, and a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran

National Portrait Prize in 2016, Jaqueline’s work moves between landscapes and portrait painting.

She recently completed twelve landscape paintings for a dual exhibition for Gallery Alchemy, fulfilling a milestone in her art career.

This artwork is part of a series inspired by time spent on Tasmania's East Coast.

Influenced by the textured beauty of lichen-covered rocks, the piece features tones of rusty red and earthy yellow that highlight the richness of the natural forms.

Through abstraction, it transforms the seemingly ordinary into something extraordinary, evoking a sense of otherworldliness as its intricate surface radiates a luminous, celestial energy.
